WAAM
encourages its members to take an active role in community service.
Through our work on creative community service projects, we build
a strong relationship with the community. Functioning as a liaison
between WAAMers and non-profit community organizations, we connect
WAAMers with creative project opportunities. Through
the hands-on projects WAAM members take on, they can develop and
communicate their talents, experience and portfolio to the community.
In addition, community organizations can view projects WAAMers have
participated in, get a general idea of the various talents available,
and then contact WAAM to request the help of specific WAAMers.
If you are interested in participating in a WAAM
creative community service project,
please email Janet Si-Ming Lee '98 for more info. Please state which project(s) you would
like to work on and in what capacity.
