• Snow Policy: If for any reason a class is not held at the assigned time, all work scheduled for that day is automatically rescheduled for the next scheduled class period. Any projects, assignments, or homeworks due on a missed day become due at the next scheduled class period. Similarly, any tests scheduled for a class period which is not held at the assigned time will be given at the next scheduled class period. Severe computer outages (all computers down for more than four hours) will be treated as snow for the purposes of rescheduling homework assignments using the computer.

• Collaboration: For most college classes, students are expected to work independently on projects and assignments. However, in some classes, certain assignments will be designated for working in groups. For these assignments, each group will turn in one assignment with all names of the group members on that assignment. Unless you are explicitly told to collaborate, you are expected to work independently.

• Returning Graded Work: I will return graded work in class whenever I finish the grading. (It usually takes me about a week, so don't nag me until then.)

• Retaining Graded Work: I make every effort to ensure that the grades I have recorded for you are accurate, but occasionally I make an accounting error. These errors can always be fixed, as long as you have kept your graded work (test, program, homework, or whatever). You can just show me the grade written on it, and I'll correct my records. Please don't rely on my memory: I'm sorry, but I really don't remember whether you got an 85 or a 95 on the test. You should hang on to your work until you get your final grades for the semester from the registrar.
