- Select an image to change and save it on your desktop.
- Open a new Fireworks document, and Import your image.
- Use the View menu to Zoom In as many times as you need to until
you can clearly see the area where you would like to change color.
- Select the Polygon Lasso Tool from the Tool bar
- Click around the area that you want to change color. In this example, we are
changing the bucket's color. Here you can see the selected area marked with a dotted line.
- To change color, select Filters > Adjust Color > Hue/Saturation
and you will see this box:
For a dark red, I chose Hue 142, Saturation 37 and Lightness -4
- Save your file (in PNG format, for future editing) and export it
(in GIF or JPEG format) for use in the web.
