Uploading Sites

  • Student Personal Pages:

    • WebWeavers, a student organization, administers Wilbur, the student web server
    • Contact WebWeavers for an account by posting on the "Webhelp" conference on FirstClass

  • Pages for Academic and Administrative Departments:

    • Work with the provider for the department who will advise on file naming and will upload your content. If you cannot identify the provider, contact Rebecca Schaefer or Claire Loranz (Webmaster), for a referral. If the department does not have a provider, please contact the Webmaster early in your design process. We can also put you in touch with other people who might be interested in your project.
    • Leave a copy of your pages with your sponsor at the end of the semester; your sponsor would also appreciate graphic source files (.png or .psd) for future maintenance.

    You'll have to talk to your client to find out what procedures there are for uploading things to their ISP (AOL, Earthlink, AT&T, or whatever). Your client will have to get involved again, now that your work is done, but do make sure that they get the results of your labors.
