Here are just a few tutorials on Python. You can find many more with a bit of web searching.

• The Python Tutorial. It's at python.org, so this really may be the tutorial. Looks to be very complete, but well worth your time.
• There are many categorized tutorials at Awaretek.com, including many for people without programming background (read those to feel really smart).
• I want to single out one by my friend Allen Downey and some colleagues, called How to Think like a Computer Scientist. The first author has come out with a second edition. Free downloads of those are available; dig in.
