Wendy Wellesley
Wendy is busy and stressed out Wellesley College Student. Wendy doesn’t ever go to the Botanical Gardens. She feels there is a lack of information, the gardens are far from her dorm, and she believes the gardens would be “uninteresting,” even if visited with friends. She would, however, like to visit the Gardens during finals week as a stress relief. Because she is busy, and her schedule is sometimes unpredictable, she would like to be able to spend varying lengths of times in the gardens: quickly passing by to get to the Ville, wandering for an hour or so to clear her head, etc). She wouldn't really spend more than two hours unless she had a project to do, such as drawing a plant for art class or thinks the Gardens is a relaxing place to study. Wendy also wants to be able to share her experience with her friends, even if her friends don't have iPhones.

Polly Parent
Polly and her husband Peter are visiting their daughter Wendy for Parents' Weekend. They want a way to bond with Wendy during their time on campus. Peter and Polly are empty nesters. They get lonely without their Wendy and would like a way to feel connected with her and share her experience when she's away at Wellesley. While they are both plant-lovers, squeezing the most out of their limited time with their beloved Wendy is always their first priority. They don't really know much about the Botanical Gardens before they visit Wellesley and would like a way to learn more about what they can do with Wendy on campus. Peter and Polly use Blackberries at work, so the only knowledge they have of iPhones came from limited use on Wendy's iPhone.

Gardening Grace
Grace was an environmental studies major at Wellesley 30 years ago. She lives locally and occasionally likes to visit her ama mater and explore the grounds. A plant enthusiast, she appreciates the Gardens for its richness and variety of plants as well as its beauty. She is accustomed to writing down information about interesting plants she finds and researching them when she gets home. She is worried that the vast number of plants in the Gardens would mean she would spend an unusually long time recording plants and then looking them up at home. She is familiar with the iPhone because her daughter taught her how to use one and hopes to be able to take pictures of the plants she finds most memorable. She can then share these pictures with her friends in her Garden Club!
