ALFI was finished using Legos, fabric, hot glue, and a touch of ingenuity. The top part of ALFI's head was closed in with Legos, as was his shoulders. The shoulders were also built up to give an illusion of roundness. His snout was created by affixing two Technic angle brackets to the main portion of his head using Legos and hot glue and then gluing a Lego front to reach from the front of the mouth portion to just below the eyes. Lego pieces were added throughout ALFI to close off remaining gaps. Ears were added with fabric, as were eye lids. The eye lids are glued to the region just about the eyes with the end portion glued to the end of the lid beams. This allows for the lids to open and close in a vertical fashion, rather than the rotational fashion of the lid beams. Below is a short video of ALFI interacting with myself.
