3. Changes we have made from our original plan

Changes made to home.html: Few changes to home were made other than the nav bar (though it appears on all pages). Because of the difficulty in using scripts provided by Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest to embed share buttons in the drop-down menu, we had to forgo using jQuery in favor of copying and pasting code for the nav bar on each page (at the suggestion of Scott). We also decided to forgo including a link in the dropdown menu to email, as it became exceedingly complicated beyond the scope of this course to integrate our site with users' native email applications, and would not have proved very useful to the user in the end. Additionally, instead of listing the name of the social media site in the font, Oswald, the dropdown menu shows the logos of each social media site, which users can click to be taken to the site with a ready-made post. The share drop-down must also be clicked, not just rolled over with a cursor in order to show the menu. Another small change was made: the photos on the page are much larger than 215px (as stated in our original plans).

Changes made to shop.html: The entire structure of the order form outlined in our plans was changed in the original site to be easier to use and more effective in submitting order information -- users now choose the style of shirt they want, the quantity and the size, which automatically updates a portion of the page below to give the user an "order summary." The user then chooses their payment method, reviews the order summary, submits the order, at which point a confirmation of the order submission appears. Additionally, a gallery of the several T-shirts and tanks was added in place of the 2 pictures of just the sweatshirt, as more T-shirts and tanks were created that the client wanted to showcase on the website. As a general change that also applies to shop.html, the font Lato Hairline (Google fonts) proved to be extremely thin and hard to read, so we decided to up the weight of the font to 300 in our CSS styling document. We made the font-weight of Lato 700 where it needed to be bold.

Changes made to about.html: no changes were made to about.html.

Changes made to involved.html: the "Get Involved" page does not include a component in which members of the organization can write about their experiences with the organization. It was determined that the main purpose of this site was to sell the sweatshirts and T-shirts, rather than a an all-encompassing website for the organization Wellesley Students for Hillary, which already has a website and blog. As such, the purpose of this page is to provide a quick, easy link for users on the site who might be interested in getting more involved in the campaign, but nothing more.

Changes made to press.html: no changes were made to press.html, except that the final image is far larger than 205px (generally our original image measurements were off by quite a bit).

Changes made to contact.html: no major changes were made to contact.html. We omitted the Twitter handle for the organization from the page and made a few minor language changes to text on the page. Instead, the word "Twitter" links directly to the Wellesley Students for Hillary Twitter account so that users can follow the account.
