Welcome!
I am a first-year Ph.D. candidate in
the Department of Computer Science at
Tufts University School of Engineering.
I am jointly advised by
Dr. Robert Jacob
and Dr. Lenore Cowen.
I am also a collaborating Research Fellow of the
Scientists' Discovery Room at Harvard University SEAS and
Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory
at Wellesley College, advised by
Dr. Orit Shaer and
Dr. Chia Shen.
Previous to Tufts, I received my BA May 2010 from
Wellesley College. I majored in computer
science with concentration in human-computer interaction, advised by
Dr. Orit Shaer.
My main areas of interest are next-generation interaction techniques
and UI design, with projects spanning adaptive brain-computer interaction (BCI),
and tangible user interfaces.
I am currently researching fNIRS-based BCI to
evaluate effects on cognitive demand from adaptive interactions [1],
and developing tabletop applications to faciliate collaborative learning
[2].
