Initially we had a couple of ideas:
- tornado scene- have Dorothy's house fly up in the air
triggered by the tornado ( similar to a conveyor belt system using
a gear train and chain links) and land in Oz on the Wicked Witch
of the East.
- "I'm melting"- towards the end of the movie before Dorothy
goes home/wakes up she destroys the Wicked Witch of the West(by
having a light sensor detect when the witch is covered and then
using a motor and gears to have her "melt") by throwing a bucket
of water on her causing the witch to melt.
- ruby shoes- have Dorothy wake up from her dream by clicking
the ruby shoes( have a switch on the shoes so that when they are
pressed for the third time the scene would end with the curtains
closing) three times bringing Dorothy home
- follow the yellow brick road- as Dorothy walks down the road,
she is first joined by the scarecrow, followed by the tinman and
finally the lion completes the foursome.
We ended up focusing our attention to the tornado scene.
