Rubber Ducky's Car Wash is basically a scaled down
version of any real-life car wash. The car is placed on the ramp,
and as soon as a Lego piece on the moving chain system (tracks)
catches onto a wheel of the car the car is pulled along through
the car wash. Switches are implanted into the stationary track
along which the left wheel of the car is on. These switches are
spaced so that each one triggers the start or end of a process.
The process that is triggered by the first switch is the
bubble-blowing mechanism. This soaps the car. Then the car hits
the second switch, which turns the bubble-blowing mechanism off
and starts the "misty pumps" which are timed to wet the entire
length of the car. The third switch turns on the timed buffers,
which buff, polish, and partially dry the car. The fourth switch
turns on a set of simple Lego fans, which do not actually dry the
car, but create the effect of drying. Finally, the fifth switch
triggers a bell to ring to alert you that your car has been fully
washed and dried.
