Crickets

 

 These two crickets control Grendel's jaw and arm. The two infared sensors are pointed at each other so that these that jaw and arm can "talk" to each other.

 

 This cricket controls Grendel's legs, a switch the tells him when to reverse directions and turn, and the light that helps Grendel's arm center.
