TITANIC ROBOT

Hi! Welcome to our "online robot exhibition"

When we found out that we had to make our own robot, we had no clue as to what kind of robot we wanted to make...anyway, after weeks and weeks (okay, only two weeks) of giving it some hard thought, we decided to make a robot that modeled the Titanic. I mean, after all, both of us loved the movie...Anyway, to give you an idea about what our robot is supposed to do...

1) It'll move straight until it hits an iceberg (not a real one, of course), while at the same time playing the theme from Disney's Aladdin, "A Whole New World."

2) That will press a touch sensor that we put on the front of the ship, and the touch sensor will trigger the following:

3) Beethoven's fifth symphony will start playing...well, a modified version...think fifth symphony in fast forward version.

4) People will come jumping off the boat.

5) Part of the boat will fall off, causing it to split into two pieces.

...since this web page is supposed to be documentation of our project, we included the program we wrote for the robot. It's in a language called HandyLogo.

So, after hours of playing around with LEGOs, we've come up with a Titanic Robot.

Since the project is hard to explain, here are some pictures to give you a better idea.
