At Wellesley, it is hard for groups holding an event to publicize it to students who may be interested. Similarly, students have trouble identifying upcoming events that appeal them. Despite the large number of events that are hosted within the community, students may be unaware of an event they would be interested in attending because they do not have access to a well-organized calendar system.
We will create a mobile integrated calendar system that organizes a list of campus events. The application targets personal preferences and allows users to browse events by popularity, category, time, and location. Users can log in with their FirstClass usernames to upload new events or RSVP to existing events. Because the application is designed for a mobile device, users will have the added ability to access up-to-date information about events on the go. A student could quickly search for events in their current location, find biggest event currently happening on campus, or check on the time or location of an event in transit.
