Nechama's Sharing Efforts:
I really took a lot of time to publicize this
survey, and ended up collecting more than I ever thought I
could! I started by
texting and emailing my closest friends and family with personalized texts,
letting them know specifically how much it would mean if they filled out the
survey. After, I posted on my Facebook, explaining what the project was
exploring and what it meant to me. Every time someone commented that they
filled out the survey, I would personally respond and thank them for their
time. Here is my Facebook link:
Nechama's Post.
The link is private, because I just
shared it with my friends, but a screenshot of the posts and responses are below.
Ashley's Sharing Efforts:
In order to get responses for the survey,
I personally texted the link to multiple contacts on my phone (~20 people).
I also posted on one of my own private social media channels so close
friends of mine had some context about what I was doing and why I was
doing it. I knew I was able to receive responses to the survey through
these efforts because some of my friends and family told me when they
completed it. As an RA in Bates Hall, I also was able to speak to my
residents through word of mouth in order to get more responses to the
survey. I then emailed these residents directly through my Wellesley
email. A screenshot of my Facebook post is below.
Ryan's Sharing Efforts:
I reached out to fellow Wellesley students through email. I sent them a message detailing how their participation would be helpful to our research. I did not feel comfortable putting the survey on my social media, but I still received a positive response from those I contacted through the Wellesley gmail.
Survey takers: 118 as of 10/30/19.
