Animated Origami Crane
Created by Christina Pong for cs307

When thinking about my final project for cs307 I decided I wanted to build a scene around the origami crane I created for a homework assignment. Since these were origami cranes, I created a surreal scene with a pond, temple, and cranes flying about. The objects in my final project include:

I also included a temple and a group of flowers created by students in previous cs307 classes.

In addition, I implemented materials and lighting as well as keyboard callbacks that start the animation. In terms of animation, there are mulitple moving parts. The wings of any crane can be set to flap up and down. (The wings of each crane can also be set to any initial angle between 0 and 90 degrees.) The large pink crane in the foreground flies around in a circle and the smaller blue crane that starts on the pedestal flies to the top of the temple. See the movie below to watch the animation.
