There are social activism organizations at every level: international, national, regional, local. There are also coalitions and individual groups.

Survey Results
Our research focuses on social activism on Instagram, specifically users' familiarity with the subject matter. We asked 43 people to take our survey and answer questions about their beliefs and encounters with social activism on Instagram.
Instagram Presence
95% of those in our survey who have Instagram, regardless if they follow social activism accounts or not, consider activism on Instagram to be at least somewhat important.

- 98% of our particpants were 18-25 years old.
- 86% of our 43 respondents call North America
- 57% have completed their high school education, 38% have a Bachelor's degree.

- 49% of Instagram users follow social activism accounts.
- 100% Of Instagram users following social activism accounts think social media is at least "somewhat" real activism.
