This is a list of the final projects developed by students in Spring 2013. All the projects are hosted on Google App Engine.

Wellesley Class Trees by Hannah Bond '15 and Emily Grandjean '15.

This project overlays coordinates of all class trees on a Google Maps, allows one to upload photos of class trees, favorite them, search the gallery, look up tree information, etc. The app has also a gaming aspects. Users who upload photos can gain points based on the favorites of their photos by other users of the app.

TV NewsPulse by Lindsey Tang '15 and Megan O'Keefe '16.

This project uses the Internet Archive's API for TVNews. When a user enters the name of a story to track, it gathers news stories from the API and visualizes their spread over time by using Google Charts. It provides links to the stories, but also statistics about which TV networks covered a story most. It can be useful to students who are researching the intersection of politics & media coverage.

Wellesley College Events by Francis Scott '15 and Sydney Stewart '14.

This project connects to the RSS feed of the Wellesley College events and then allows a user to create a personalized list of events they are interested to attend. It does this by categorizing events and allowing different kinds of filtering and searching. It also uses several jQuery UI elements to make the interface more user-friendly.

BunnyBolt - A mobile game for youth by Shirly Lu '15, Christine Keung '14, and Alexa Lee '15.

This project is a mobile game that has as a goal to get young people to exercise more. It uses Google Maps to show the location of the user while they are running/walking, and provides different levels of difficulty. Users win badges by completing different tasks in each level. All the information about the state of the game is stored in Google App Engine's data store.
