Exploration Maps Repository

The decision map files available here, as well as the decision graphs and analysis results files derived from them, are licensed under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 International License. They can be redistributed and adapted as long as you attribute their authors and do not use them for commercial purposes. See LICENSE.txt.

The status file has an overview of the status of various map files. Many of them are incomplete. Only a selection are linked to from this page.

Use the links below to access .exj journal files which contain journaling information for the exploration process of a playthrough. These can be loaded into the visualizer to view the resulting decision graphs, including how they evolve throughout the exploration process. The associated .dcg decision map files contain just the decision graph from the final step of the associated exploration. They should load much faster in the visualizer. The .csv analysis files contain metric values derived from the associated explorations, but not the information about connections, requirements, and effects that's in the journal or map files.

The "view" links can be used to go directly to the visualizer and load a journal or graph without downloading anything. Note that for larger exploration journals especially, the viewer may take several dozen seconds or even a few minutes to load.

The .exj and .dcg files can also be loaded by the exploration Python library which you can get directly from the Python Package Index.

Complete Journals

Each of these files represents a single person's complete playthrough of a game. They may not have explored every transition or found every secret available, but except as noted, they made an attempt to explore as much as reasonably possible.

For some games, a truncated journal is available, representing progress only up through beating the first boss (or a similar point in the game).
