Pikachu was created to be the first vertically geared creation of the class. He was meant to be quick with a stream-lined design that had the fewest gears and lego pieces as possible. In his debut, he took first in the racing competition with his first time being 4.33 seconds. In his final race for first place he clocked in at 4.6 seconds.
Points of interest:
- First place (Pikachu) had a gear ratio of 12.5 (8->40 then 16->40)
- Second place tie (Pinky/Chariots of Fire) had a gear ratio of 15 (8->40 then 8->24)
- Third place tie (both unnamed) had a gear ratio of 27 (8->24 then 8->24 then 8->24)
