This is our first idea for the arm. It
involed a minicart that would roll back and forth across a path. The
lower part would have been suspended from the cart. We changed this
idea because it was compliated to attached the second motor needed
to lift the arm into Grendel's mouth. |

This is our second version of the arm and
it look much mroe like the final version. It, however, lacked the ability
to search an area by rotating. |

This
was the "sketch" of our final design.
However, for the final the three gears were replaced by two gears with
a black chain connecting them. |
