Playing Games?!

Yes, you are required to play some games for this course. More info to be shared in class, but you will be asked to share some details about what you are playing.

Responsive Media Project

Due Date: 2/11 @ 9pm

Using the Unity Game Engine, you will create interactive media. The goal isn't to create a game. We’ll get there in the next few projects. Here you are free to experience the joy of enabling human input with consequential results.

2-Minute Game

Due Date: 3/13 @ Midnight

Create a game that is played over approximately two minutes. No more.

Your Game & Your Voice

Due Date:

Proposal: Dev Journal Entry for Week of 3/25 & 3/28

Core Mechanic: In-class check-in on 4/5

Prototype: In-class demos on 4/25

Final: 4/30 @ "Midnight"

Create a game that is expressive in some way (cultural, political, etc) and the theme/topic you choose is reinforced by the game mechanics you implement.

Development Journals

Ongoing

You will maintain a "Development Journal" throughout the semester to help track progress through assignments and promote experimentation while you develop games. This creative and functional document should reflect your own approach to tackling game design issues.
