Helen Colby (née Gordon) is a member of the class of 2017 majoring in Japanese and Elementary Education. She grew up in Keller, Texas and is a proud convert of the Church. Helen is an active member of Japan club and President of LDSSA. Helen’s favorite memory is when their old institute teacher, Sister Morgan, drove several of them out for a fun day and Plymouth, and they got to spend the whole day hanging out and exploring the beauty that is New England.
Katie is a junior from Maynard, Massachusetts. She is a biological sciences major, and plans to teach high school science after graduation. When not involved in LDSSA shenanigans, Katie sings in the Wellesley College Choir and is a program leader and volunteer for Stronger Communities, Stronger Schools. She loves LDSSA for all the snacks Chloey brings to FHE and for all the discussions on dating culture on car rides from church back to Wellesley.
Jennifer Vogan is a junior majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Korean. She is in the MIT Choralleries, an A Cappella group and is a member of Wellesley KSA. She doesn't have any specific favorite memory of LDSSA. She just likes chilling with people she knows she can come to if she ever needs anything.
Audrey Ellis is a sophomore from Chicago, Illinois on the Wellesley Varsity Rowing Team. While majoring in Psychology (pre-med track) she is also involved in volunteer teaching at the Child Study Center on Wellesley's campus, and loves LDSSA with her whole heart. Audrey's favorite memory with Wellesley LDSSA is a tie: there was one FHE her first year where we all made a ginger bread house together which was super fun, but Waltz n' Schmaltz was also a highlight!
Alex Dionne Alex is a first year at Wellesley from the far-off land of Belmont, Massachusetts. She is currently planning on majoring in biology and Spanish, with the hopes of one day attending medical school and becoming a surgeon. She also loves to rock it on the soccer field and the violin, as she’s on Wellesley’s Varsity Soccer team and a proud member of the BlueJazz Strings. She loves LDSSA because it gives her a chance to play Pretty-Pretty Princess and do in-depth analyses of all the dating options in the greater Boston area.
Chloey Garza is a first year from the fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. She is undecided on her major but is thinking about anthropology or psychology and studio art. Despite her desert roots, Chloey joined Blue Crew this year and is now rowing competitively (proving that literally anything is possible). Her favorite memory with LDSSA is decorating a halloween gingerbread house for Family Home Evening and using it for decoration on the Houghton Chapel Organ.
