Contests and Other Academia

This year, WAC members hosted several computing workshops aimed at the general student body, including WinterTex (a Wintersession LaTeX workshop taught by Alessondra Springmann), WAC Tips (computing tips distributed over FirstClass), and an upcoming Flash workshop hosted by Sarah LaFrance.

Fun

WAC has hosted two Video Game Extravaganzas in the Science Center this year (one in mid-fall, the other in early spring), and is hoping to organize another by the end of the year. Both nights have been extremely successful, with good turnouts and plenty of games.
WAC has also been responsible for putting together the CS Musical for the past three Cirque du CS's; this year's was no exception. This year's Cirque du CS culminated in a musical written and directed by Cidney Hamilton and Lili Shi, with singing, dancing, and acting.
Rumor has it that WAC also bears ties to a mysterious ninja organization, whose members have been spotted by CS faculty members over the course of the year.
