Blood, Sweat, and Tears...

Each individual mechanism functioned just fine on its own-unfortunately, we were unable to get all of them operating as a unit for the exhibition. This was due to time constraints (both of us were ill and not able to do much "constructive" work for considerable periods of time) as well as actual construction materials...With an escargot knife in hand and no power tools, there wasn't much we could do besides rough, "brute force" actions in the way of "adjustment" for mounting-hence the blood (from cutting and ripping pieces of plastic etc.), sweat (yes, even during the cold wintersession weather...), and tears (Cynara's pants were in dire need of duct tape at the exhibition)! If we had the chance to "do it right" and fix all its problems, we would use sturdier light materials and power tools to make our lives (and bringing Concetta to life) a lot easier...The LEGO spacing did not work well (including internally to other LEGO "blocks"), and we couldn't get the mounting shelves to be the right lengths...However, we had enough of the system working to be able to present the overall idea to an intrigued audience ;-)
